        All school systems in Maine are required to make changes based on a law passed in June, 2007.          This web page includes information about the way this law affects Bucksport, Orland, Prospect and
    Verona Island.  The Newsletters are published monthly by  Superintendent Judy Lucarelli and mailed     to every household in our four towns.  The law is complex and some of the implications are evolving         over time.  Because of this, the newsletters include the most accurate information known at time of         publication.
 
        As described in the second newsletter, the Reorganization Planning Committee (RPC) has been             formed in compliance with the law, to address the aspects required for our four towns to become one
    district.  All RPC meetings are open to the public.  RPC groundrules permit public comment on any         item before a vote is taken.  All meeting dates will be posted on this website.
